Mechanical Applications

In mechanical applications, components made of carbon and graphite are widely used in many industrial fields. Carbon-based materials offer an ideal solution in demanding operating conditions requiring high strength, chemical resistance, and wear resistance.

Main products manufactured from carbon materials include vacuum pump vanes, steam header carbons, packing carbons, and bearing carbons. Depending on the chemical properties of the operating environment and rotational speeds, special carbon grades impregnated with resin, antimony, or similar are preferred.

In systems operating under lower loads, graphite is preferred. Graphite provides high performance in applications such as slideway carbons, multi-piece rings, low-load bearings, and flour mill lubricating carbons.

When selecting the appropriate graphite material, strength values, grain size, and lubrication ability are key criteria.
