Aluminum Industry Applications
Special graphite materials, which offer superior resistance to high temperatures and chemical reactions, are widely used in aluminum casting applications.
Degassing Systems
Graphite degassing systems are an effective production method used to control the levels of hydrogen and alkali metals in liquid aluminum. In these systems, the rotor geometry and rotational speed of the graphite degassing unit are important physical factors that determine vortex formation and the resulting amount of gas bubbles.
The oxidation resistance and mechanical strength of the graphite material used are critical to the system's efficiency and service life. Argon or nitrogen are generally the preferred inert gases for degassing processes.
Graphite degassing systems generally consist of two parts: the rotor (impeller) and the shaft, and are assembled with a threaded connection system.
Billet Casting
Graphite rings used in the mold during billet casting increase the homogeneity of the casting and optimize porosity in the shell area. The gas and oil permeability and mechanical properties of the graphite material used in these applications directly affect the lifespan of the rings.
Dalgakıran
Dağakırans are graphite blocks used to ensure more homogeneous degassing within the crucible. This ensures greater stability in the aluminum melting process.
Thermocouple Sheaths
Thermocouple sheaths are graphite components manufactured to protect sensors used in temperature measurement from external environmental influences. These products increase measurement accuracy and extend the lifespan of thermocouples.
