EDM Applications

The use of graphite in electrode manufacturing in electric discharge (EDM) technology is becoming increasingly popular thanks to its superior advantages. Graphite is particularly popular in applications where copper is insufficient in surface quality or where weight and size compromise efficiency.

Graphite, with its shorter processing times, lower density, high-temperature resistance, and excellent machinability compared to copper, is the ideal electrode material for modern EDM processes.

Fine-grained and isotropic graphite grades offer exceptional performance in applications requiring high surface precision. This allows parts with complex geometries to be produced with the desired surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
